Prevenient. Justifying. Sanctifying.

                                                                                     What to Expect

Mt. Zion is here to worship God through our church activities and our daily lives. Our faith is personal and communal. Our faith is a faith of action. As Methodists, we have two primary focuses: works of piety and works of mercy.  Works of piety represent our dedication and belief in reading scripture, daily prayer, sharing our faith, holding each other accountable in our faith, and partaking in the sacraments (communion and baptism) as often as possible. Our works of piety strengthen and guide our works of mercy: doing good works, feeding the hungry, tending to the sick, and advocating for social change so that all people are treated with the dignity God bestowed upon them in their creation.

Worship Service: Mt. Zion offers a more traditional service with scripture, prayer, hymns, statements of faith, and various litanies. We observe Holy Communion at least once a month; we're Methodist, so there's a method to what we do. We have an open table for Holy Communion, which means all are welcome as long as they are open to what God might be doing in their lives.

Dress: We wear jeans and dresses, ties and t-shirts. Come as you are.

Parking: Mt. Zion offers two parking lots. Both are located in front of the church. Feel free to park on either side of the street.

Entering the Church: The sanctuary is directly behind the front doors. We offer bulletins each Sunday with the order of worship, as well as church news. The bulletins are located on your right as you enter the church. Feel free to take one and sit where you feel led.

Childcare: We welcome children of all ages in our worship services. We believe that all children, no matter the age, are a part of our worshiping community. When you get your bulletin for service, please also take a children's bulletin for each child and a crayon or three. We also have a nursery available.

Mt. Zion seeks to follow Christ in all that we do. Christ's life serves as our guide of how to live this life. Both our worship together and our daily lives are done as acts of worship.
